Krazy kaleidoscope

"A kaleidoscope is a circle of mirrors containing loose, colored objects such as beads or pebbles and bits of glass. As the viewer looks into one end, light entering the other end creates a colorful pattern, due to the reflection off the mirrors."

Brooklyn based artist Shane McAdams creates abstract images from the ink of a ballpoint pen, letting the gravity, wind and natural elements guide the ink rather than drawing. The images above reflect those stereotypically seen through the lens of a kaleidoscope and ultimately those of prints coming through in the trends for S/S12.
