London Fashion Weekend February 2012

For seasons now I have always left it to late/ been away/ had other things on when London Fashion weekend has taken place...Saturday 25th February 2012 however and I made it. In keen preparation tickets and travel were sorted almost straight after Christmas and what a lovely lovely weather weekend for it to fall on. Bright blue sky and warm sunshine all day saw us drinking champaign on the terrace of Somerset house overlooking the Thames, dining al fresco in Leicester Square and for the first time this year not having to wear layers and layers of clothing to keep warm. 
The day commenced with an early (however hours lie in to my normal 4.30am wake up call) coach ride down to the capital, with rumbling stomachs (no thanks to the girls opposite us on the coach who had come prepared with a full picnic - note to self, take food for coach trips in the future) we headed straight over to the venue and treated ourselves to the most amazing Lavazza coffee and a brownie ( which we could probably of shared)before a mooch around the array of stalls and pop up shops before the 1.30pm runway show, were we saw collections from Holly Fulton (WOW), Antipodium (bought a souvenir in the shape of a black embellished skater skirt :) ) and Jasper Conran aswell as a trend collaboration in the style of 'Prim' and 'Game on'
With five hours until the return journey home, we headed over to Oxford circus for a well deserved browse around Topshop and Urban outfitters....leading us nicely into happy hour and 50% cocktails :) :)
